Badami Pattadakal and Aihole Tour

If ever there was a UNESCO World Heritage site so stunning and yet almost unknown to the casual tourist, it would be the temples of Pattadakal along with Badami and Aihole. 1,500 years ago, the Chalukya Empire steamrolled most of the other kingdoms in India and built stunning sandstone temples to commemorate their victories. To this day, many of the temples along with their deities survive to offer us a glimpse into the glorious empire that it was.

If you are looking for an authentic Indian experience away from the maddening crowds of tourists, the Badami, Pattadakal and Aihole Tour by goMowgli comes highly recommended. If you are curious about India history, we believe this one lesson on Indian history you would not want to miss. If you are visiting Hampi, take a day out to visit and capture the ethereal beauty of these temples. You will regret it if you don't.
