Hampi Tour

500 years ago, Hampi was one of the largest cities in the world, and yet all that remains today is a set of weathering ruins along a large stretch of land. These ruins have more than a tale to tell. As you walk around you will travel back in time to see the scenes from one of India's greatest epic, the Ramayana come alive. You will also hear the battle cries of the once mighty and rich empire that dominated Southern India. The best things on offer are usually never known to regular tourists. And the best stories that are behind the land are not found in the guide books. If you are a history buff the Hampi tour with us will leave you wanting for more!

Tour Information

  • About the day

Hampi is an idyllic location for those looking to get away. But you cannot go back without having explored one of India's most popular UNESCO World Heritage Site.

We pick you up either from the other side of the river (island side - 8:30am) or the Hampi side (8:45am) (as per your convenience). For all on the other side, enjoy the coracle ride before kicking the day off hunting for Neolithic cave paintings. Saunter over boulders and hop over a few streams to reach some stunning rock carvings in the middle of nowhere. Visit the architectural marvel that the Vithala Temple is and go trigger happy over the stone carvings. Some more temples and a walk around the bazaar (market) before you head to satiate your hunger with the locals.

Enjoy a tuk-tuk ride to the Royal enclosure of the Viajayangara Empire, Queen's bath and the remains of some of the most beautiful temples (monolithic Narasimha, Badava linga, Sasive Kaalu ganapathy, Kadale Kaalu ganapathy). End the tour with a spectacular view at the sunset point at 5:30pm (17:30hrs), the most ideal time to watch the sun go to rest.
